Nissan Design Europe celebrates 15 favourite models

Nissan Design Europe is celebrating 15 years at its London premises by showcasing 15 of its most significant models.

The studio is the brand’s creative hub and is vital to Nissan’s success in Europe, where it answered the demand for crossovers, in particular the Qashqai and Juke.

The 15 models have been personally chosen by Mamoru Aoki, vice president of Nissan Design Europe, and includes a mix of production and concept models from Nissan and Infiniti.

Below is the list of cars that made the list:

2003 Qashqai concept

2005 Micra c+c

2006 Terranaut concept

2007 Qashqai (Dualis)

2007 NV200 Concept

2009 Qazana concept

2010 Juke

2013 Qashqai

2014 Nissan concept 2020

2014 Infiniti Emerg-E concept

2015 Gripz concept

2015 Infiniti QX30 concept

2016 BladeGlider prototype

2016 Navara EnGuard concept

2017 Infiniti Q60 Project Black S

“We are celebrating our 15th anniversary this month, but it is just the start,” Mamoru said.

“We have a talented team at NDE today, working hard to continue the Nissan success story in Europe for another 15 years and beyond.”

“Nissan Design Europe arrived at The Rotunda in 2003, when our design ethos was bold and thoughtful,” Mamoru concluded.

The Rotunda was once a disused transport depot and became a hotspot for graffiti. Since its renovation, it has now become an ‘ultra-cool urban design space’ that will no doubt see many more pioneering designs from the Japanese brand in the future.
