CarAdvice podcast 85: Oh how easy it can be to steal your modern car

We are back for 2018! This week it’s Mandy Turner and Mike Stevens in the studio.

In car news, the Toyota HiLux Rogue, Rugged and Rugged X are coming to Australia, as is the Mazda CX-8.

Over to Korea and Hyundai has announced it is building a two-seater sports car, right after revealing the hydrogen-powered Nexo. Plus, the new Kia Cerato gets sketched for the Detroit motor show.

Germany is the last stop with Mercedes-Benz launching the new MBUX infotainment in the new A-Class, and the 2018 BMW 8 Series has been spied without disguise.

Mike previews some of the most important cars to be released for 2018.

The other Mike, Costello, summarises last year’s VFACTS and discusses December’s results. He also reviews the pleasantly surprising 2018 Toyota Camry SL.

Software engineer Kapil Haresh Vigneswaran talks about how a car can be stolen, surprisingly easily, by hijacking the key fob signal.

Mike Stevens goes on a rant about the neat little features every new car should bloody have by now.

ANCAP CEO James Goodwin answers one of our listener’s questions and talks about what to expect in 2018.
