The interior of the updated Mercedes-Benz GLC has been spied while undergoing cold weather testing in Scandinavia.
Externally, the prototypes spotted by our agency don’t seem to feature any changes apart from mismatched chrome trim around the side windows.
We do expect the GLC facelift to feature the usual round of updates, though, including new headlight and tail-light graphics, new bumper designs, and, probably, additional colour and alloy wheel choices.
It’s on the inside where these GLC test vehicles sport their few changes. The free-standing tablet-style screen for the infotainment system now looks to be a bit wider than the version fitted to today’s car, while the touchpad controller in the centre tunnel has been updated to the latest design.
Perhaps the biggest change is straight ahead of the driver, with the updated GLC looking like it will feature a redesigned instrument cluster.
The photographers managed to nab pictures of both a low-spec (below) and mid-to-high-spec (above) interior. In the lower grade model, the instrument cluster features a plainer design without the deep gauge bezels seen on today’s car.
For the higher-spec variant there’s now a fully customisable digital display in place of the traditional gauge design.
Other changes are harder to spot, but both prototypes feature a redesigned steering wheel, and a smaller starter button.
