2018 Infiniti QX80 facelift unveiled ahead of Dubai show

The updated Infiniti QX80 has been revealed ahead of its full debut at the Dubai motor show next week.

Infiniti has revealed its facelifted large SUV to Car and Driver, and the large SUV has styling taken from the QX80 Monograph concept launched at this year’s New York motor show.

The biggest changes take place at the front, where the four-wheel drive sports redesigned headlights, bonnet, bumper, and front wings. The new look is more aesthetically pleasing as the huge bonnet step has been consigned to the dustbin of history.

Aside from the more svelte front-end design, there’s also new tail-light graphics, a lightly revised tailgate with a wider and more conventional chrome strip, updated rear bumpers, and a different look for the side vents.

On the inside, the QX80 benefits from new wood trim, leather stitching options, larger rear entertainment screens, and improved storage areas. New tyres, and more insulation in the doors and behind the dashboard, should result in a quieter cabin.

Elsewhere, the QX80 is largely untouched and still very much related to the Nissan Patrol. According to the American magazine, the car’s mechanical package is unchanged, meaning motivation still comes from a 298kW/560Nm 5.6-litre V8.
