CarAdvice podcast 76: Tokyo Motor Show hits and misses

A lot of the CarAdvice team is at the Tokyo motor show this week, which leaves Mandy Turner alone in the studio, with Trent Nikolic joining her on the phone from the Sydney office.

In car news, Mercedes-Benz says the X-Class deserves a premium price, the Kia Optima Sportwagon PHEV is being re-considered for Australia and former Audi Sport boss, Stephan Winkelmann will be the new Bugatti president. Mazda unveils two concepts: the Kai Concept which previews the 2019 Mazda 3, and the Vision Coupe concept.

The Nissan IMx and Hyundai Vaccar Tucson Sport concepts have been revealed.

Trent reviews the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

Derek Fung talks with Audi CEO Rupert Stadler at the A8 Insight and Tech Event in Portugal.

Curator Ken Grindrod talks about Gosford Classic Car Museum’s first auction this weekend.

Michael Percival took the Kia Stinger GT for a test drive on the weekend as a possible fleet car, and we ask him what he thought of it.

Mike Stevens, Alborz Fallah, and Mike Costello talk about their hits and misses of the Tokyo motor show, and Sydney listener, Peter Ronis, finds out more about the Australian-built Purvis Eureka (below).
