The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 convertible has been teased ahead of its debut at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Overnight, Mercedes-Benz published a video teaser for the concept on its YouTube channel, but didn’t provide any specifics about the vehicle.

Given the details revealed in the video and the car’s name, the new convertible concept will likely feature the same drivetrain as last year’s Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 coupe.

With an electric motor for each wheel, the Maybach coupe concept had a total of 550kW of power at its disposal, and a 0-100km/h time claimed to be under four seconds, as well as an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h.

The interior for the convertible is an evolution of the one from last year’s coupe with large quantities of soft leather and exposed metal. When the car is given its full debut, expect to hear plenty of talk about being inspired by yachts.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance officially begins on August 20. So far, this year’s event will include debuts for a new BMW roadster, likely previewing the next-generation Z4, and retro-style Infiniti race car.
