The facelifted Honda Jazz has been unveiled on the company’s Japanese website, ahead of going on sale there in June.

A leaked brochure was published online last week, and these official photos verify the authenticity of those images.

So far the company has only revealed the Hybrid variant of the updated Fit, as the Jazz is known in Japan.

For the Japanese market, the revised Fit features new headlight internals with LED driving lights that integrate more seemlessly with the revised grille. There’s also a new front bumper with a more expressive style, as well as revised tail-light graphics.

With the car a month away from its launch in Japan, the company isn’t giving all way the details about the vehicle’s specifications.

The placeholder website page does reveal the updated Fit will be available with the Honda Sensing suite of safety technologies, which includes pedestrian detection, automated braking for collision mitigation, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping assistance.

Upgrades for the car’s interior include the availability of seats with brown leather and suede-like elements, and piano black trim around the gear lever.

In Japan, the revised Fit will available with 1.3- and 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines, as well as a hybrid drivetrain.

Australia

We last spoke to Honda Australia about the Jazz last week, right after the leaked Japanese brochure surfaced, and Neil McDonald, the company’s public relations manager, noted Australian market Jazz hatchbacks are sourced from Thailand.

There have typically been slight differences in styling between Jazz/Fit models built in Thailand and Japan.

At the time, Honda Australia had no new information to share about any upcoming Jazz updates.
