Volvo XC90 Excellence and XC90 vehicles recalled for missing airbag warning label

Volvo Australia has issued a recall for its 2017 XC90 Excellence and XC90 models with the seven-seat leather upholstery trim, for a missing airbag label on the passenger side sun visor.

This means that, when the visor is folded down, the airbag warning label is not visible. As a result – and despite it seeming obvious that any modern car would have airbags installed – it is possible the front passenger will be unaware.

Affected models include those within the VIN range 105019 to 165329. Owners are asked to contact their local Volvo dealer to arrange replacement of the passenger-side mirror lid.

This is Volvo’s second recall for an airbag-related concern in the past week, with a number of models called back recently for a curtain airbag fix.
